QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years of hands-on CNC machining experience; Associate's degree or certificate in Machining/Manufacturing preferred, equivalent experience accepted
- Proficient operating CNC mills and/or lathes (Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, DMG-Mori, or equivalent)
- Able to read engineering drawings and GD&T; experience with CAM software (Mastercam, Fusion 360, or similar)
- Strong understanding of tooling selection, speeds/feeds, work-holding, and precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, CMM)
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality systems preferred; ability to work independently and lift up to 50 lbs
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set up and operate 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC mills and turning centers; load, edit, and optimize programs at the control or via CAM
- Select tooling and fixturing, perform offsets, and complete first-article inspections before full production runs
- Inspect finished parts to spec, document deviations, and resolve non-conformances; support FAI and customer audits
- Create and prove out new CNC programs; recommend process improvements and provide DFM feedback to engineering
- Perform routine machine maintenance, adhere to 5S and safety protocols, and report malfunctions promptly
- Complete production travelers and inspection records; mentor junior machinists and communicate priorities to the supervisor
