Hamilton Connections is seeking a skilled and reliable CNC Machine Operator for a manufacturing company in North Haven, CT. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with a clear path to full-time hire for the right candidate.
Essential Functions
- Machine Operation: Run CNC Mill or Lathe production jobs with initial training and guidance.
- Quality Inspection: Use basic inspection equipment (Micrometers, Calipers, Drop Gauges, VMM programs).
- Blueprint Reading: Follow numbered Inspection Method Sheet (IMS) blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Adjustments & Maintenance: Change out basic tools (inserts, drills), perform tool touch-offs, and make basic offset adjustments with direction from senior operators.
- Documentation: Fill out work orders, IMS sheets, and log jobs in and out using the shop computer system.
- Communication: Team up with colleagues regarding work order status, completion times, and technical issues.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience using CNC machines.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and apply shop math (decimals, fractions).
- Strong mechanical aptitude, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, stand, and walk for extended periods.

- Ability to prioritize workload and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong computer literacy for job logging and data entry.
