CNC Operator
Join a growing specialty manufacturing company in Hartford County, CT, offering an excellent opportunity for a hands-on CNC Operator to build on their machining experience. This is an operator-level position focused on CNC machine operation, quality, and production accuracy-CNC setup or programming experience is not required.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
* Operate CNC lathes and milling machines, including Haas, Fadal, and Icut equipment; load/unload parts and monitor production.
* Inspect finished parts using basic gauges and inspection equipment and identify acceptable versus nonconforming parts.
* Read basic blueprints and manufacturing instructions while maintaining accurate part counts, travelers, and inspection records.
* Perform basic machine maintenance, including checking coolant and oils, and communicate tooling, material, machine, or quality concerns to supervision.
Required Skills & Experience
* Previous CNC machine operating or related manufacturing experience, with experience operating CNC lathes and/or milling machines.
* Ability to read basic blueprints and manufacturing instructions.
* Ability to use basic measuring and inspection equipment and recognize acceptable versus nonconforming parts.
* Strong attention to detail, dependability, safety awareness, and ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Skills & Experience
* Familiarity with Haas, Fadal, Icut, or similar CNC equipment.
* Basic knowledge of machining tools such as end mills, drills, and taps, along with common manufacturing materials.
Compensation
$21-$24/hour, based on skills and experience.
