Aegis is currently partnering with a stable long-standing manufacturer in St. Charles to identify a CNC Operator to join their growing team!
Responsibilities:
Operate a plasma cutting machine to produce steel parts based on simple blueprints and preloaded programs.
Manage the full process of each job, from loading material and running the machine to finishing
Receive a list of jobs at the start of the shift and is expected to pick up where the previous shift left off, ensuring parts are completed accurately and efficiently.
Hands-on finishing work, such as grinding, sanding, cleaning edges from plasma cutting, marking parts, and delivering finished components to welding or storage areas
Requirements:
1-4+ years of experience operating a CNC Machine
Ability to read and interpret basic blueprint drawings
Experience working with basic tools - tape measures, squares, or protractors.
Ability to work within basic tolerances (approximately ±1/16 inch).
