CNC Operator

Job Summary:

The CNC Operator I operates various CNC turning machines with bar feeders, to produce metal pieces used to make components of ammunition, while maintaining a high-quality and efficiency consciousness.

Primary Responsibilities:

·         Must be capable of operating complex drilling, CNC turning machines with bar feeders

·         Required to use precision measuring instruments for inspection of machined parts. (i.e. calipers, micrometers)

·         Must be capable of maintaining tolerances and drawing requirements and adjusting CNC equipment as required

·         Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications:

·         High school diploma or equivalent

·         Must possess a minimum of 2-3 years of related experience in CNC turning

·         Ability to measure using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring devices

·         Strong attention to detail

·         Ability to work under limited supervision

·         Requires extended periods of standing, must be capable of standing for the length of shift

·         Ability to reach, grab, pull, and work with hands

·         Must be capable of lifting and transferring materials weighing up to 60 lbs.
