CNC Operator

Job Title: CNC Setup / Operator
Location: Rochester, NY
Employment Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire

Summary: Nesco Resource is seeking a skilled CNC Setup / Operator to join a manufacturing team in Rochester, NY. This role is responsible for setting up and operating CNC mills and Bridgeport machines to produce high-quality parts in a safe and efficient manner. The ideal candidate has strong setup experience, can edit programs, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.

Pay Rate:

• $22.00 – $32.00/Hour (Based On Exp.)

Shift:

• Monday – Friday, 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC mills, Bridgeport machines, and associated equipment
• Edit CNC programs according to established procedures
• Inspect parts using in-process inspection documentation and tools
• Complete and maintain all quality and production-related paperwork
• Troubleshoot machining issues and implement process improvements
• Train and support team members as needed
• Maintain organized tooling inventory and order replacements as required
• Perform preventative maintenance and cleaning on machines
• Support other sheet metal fabrication processes as needed
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Follow all QMS and safety procedures

Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of CNC setup and operating experience (vertical mills, Bridgeport, etc.)
• Ability to read blueprints, interpret drawings, and understand G-code
• Experience using inspection equipment to verify part quality
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
• Ability to lift and handle metal parts and tooling
• Ability to work efficiently to production standards while maintaining quality
• Additional sheet metal experience (punch press, spot welding, PEM, etc.) is a plus
