    Job Description

    CNC Press Brake Machinist

Location: Weller Metalworks | Shift: 2nd Shift

Picture your 2nd-shift routine: you review a fresh set of prints, choose the right tooling, dial in the press brake, and form parts to spec—first-piece passes inspection, in-process checks stay tight, and another on-time order leaves at zero defects. If that scene feels familiar, you’ll fit right in at Weller Metalworks’ fast-paced manufacturing floor.

    What you'll do

    • Set up and run press brake equipment, selecting/adjusting tooling and dies for each job.
    • Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to achieve exact customer specifications.
    • Form, process, and verify metal components to precise measurements.
    • Use tape measures, calipers, and gauges with confidence and accuracy.
    • Complete first-article and in-process inspections, documenting results as needed.
    • Champion a zero-defect mindset and rigorous quality standards.
    • Follow all safety procedures and company policies every step of the way.
    • Flag issues or nonconformances promptly to supervisors for quick resolution.

    Must-have qualifications (non‑negotiable)

    • Proven experience operating a press brake in a manufacturing environment.
    • Blueprint reading and interpretation skills are required.
    • Strong measurement abilities and basic math (fractions and decimals).
    • Mechanical aptitude with sharp attention to detail.
    • Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work independently.
    • High School Diploma or GED.

    Physical demands

    • Stand for the duration of the shift.
    • Bend, twist, reach, and walk throughout the workday.
    • Lift up to 35 lbs.

    Nice to have

    • GD&T familiarity.
    • Forklift experience.
    • Background in metal fabrication environments.

    Why Weller Metalworks

    • Competitive pay.
    • Paid vacation, sick/personal time, and holidays.
    • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
    • Life insurance.
    • Bonuses.
    • 401(k) plan.

    Good to know

This role is not entry-level and does not include training from scratch. You will be joining a fast-paced manufacturing environment on 2nd shift, where independence, accuracy, and safety are essential.
