Description

Our client is a well-established metal fabrication company seeking an experienced Brake Press Operator to join their production team. This role centers on running and programming CNC press brakes to produce precision metal parts in a fast-paced job shop environment. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on CNC press brake experience, strong blueprint reading ability, and a consistent focus on quality.

Job Responsibilities -

- Operate and program 250-ton and 175-ton CNC press brakes to complete daily production runs.

- Interpret blueprints and shop drawings to fabricate metal parts that meet all quality specifications.

- Verify part dimensions using tape measures, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.

- Load and unload material on presses throughout the production cycle.

- Safely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment.

- Partner with management to hit production schedules and adjust to shifting priorities.

- Troubleshoot production issues and make corrections independently with limited oversight.

- Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with shop safety practices.

Job Requrements -

- Three years of CNC press brake operation experience, preferably in a job shop setting.

- Solid shop math skills and comfort with precision measuring tools.

- Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving ability.

- Capable of repeatedly lifting 50+ lbs. throughout the shift.

- Detail-oriented with dependable organizational, time management, and communication skills.

- Willingness to work overtime as production volume requires.

- Experience with steel rolling equipment is a plus.

- Prior forklift and overhead crane certification is a plus.
