    Description

Step into a day shaping precision sheet metal

You arrive ready to turn flat stock into accurate panels and enclosures. After reviewing job folders and blueprints, you set up a shear, a manual press brake, and a CNC press brake. You retrieve programs, select and install the right tooling, and dial in bends—simple to complex—on light-gauge material. Throughout the shift, you move efficiently from short runs to longer production, editing programs as needed to keep quality high and throughput strong.

    Shifts and schedule

    • 1st shift: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
    • 2nd shift: 3:30 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.
    • 3rd shift: 11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
    • Monday–Friday with overtime opportunities

    What you'll do

    • Produce sheet metal parts by setting up and operating CNC and manual press brakes, plus a shear.
    • Handle full machine setup: retrieve programs, configure tooling, and verify bend sequences.
    • Create and edit CNC press brake programs for light-gauge forming with simple and complex bends.
    • Run multiple setups per shift for prototypes, small batches, and production quantities.
    • Maximize output while maintaining accuracy and repeatability.
    • Read and interpret shop drawings, layouts, blueprints, job folders, rough sketches, and customer samples.
    • Verify work using precision tools (e.g., calipers) and compare against prints.

    Keep operations running smoothly

    • Perform routine maintenance and keep machines and work area clean.
    • Partner with maintenance/repair technicians to troubleshoot equipment when needed.
    • Read material tags and work orders to select correct materials.
    • Move raw materials and parts using a pallet jack or forklift.
    • Count and record daily production activity.
    • Collaborate with engineering personnel and fellow operators in a fast-paced setting.
    • Follow all safety rules and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

    What you bring

    • Proven experience in a sheet metal job shop or contract manufacturer (required).
    • Deep knowledge of press brake tooling: selecting, changing, and maintaining.
    • Strong decision-making skills and consistent, excellent attendance.
    • Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, twist, squat, reach, and perform repetitive hand/finger movements.
    • Comfort working in hot or cold plant conditions.
    • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs throughout the shift.

    Equipment you'll work with

    • Amada HG1003 ATC Press Brake (100 Metric Ton, 3 Meter)
    • Amada HG1303-M30 Press Brake (143 Ton, 10')
    • Amada HD 1003 ATC Press Brake
    • Amada HDS-8025 NT CNC Press Brake
    • Salvagnini P2 Panel Benders
