You will
- Steer production and shipping schedules, aligning people, machines, and materials to meet delivery promises.
- Analyze production and operating reports to remove roadblocks and resolve maintenance issues quickly.
- Plan and coordinate facility maintenance and repairs to protect uptime.
- Audit the floor and equipment to ensure compliance with safety requirements.
- Energize and motivate the team to hit performance goals.
- Promote corporate policies around safety and Equal Employment Opportunity.
- Lead CNC machining activities so quality, safety, and delivery targets are met for aerospace customers.
- Collaborate with machinists, programmers, quality, and maintenance to optimize utilization, boost efficiency, and cut downtime.
- Monitor metrics, tooling readiness, and workflow execution to maintain consistent precision output.
Your background
- STEM degree and 4 years of manufacturing or industrial maintenance supervision preferred.
- Strong CNC machining exposure: processes, tooling, workholding, blueprint interpretation, GD&T, and aerospace quality norms.
- History of leading machining personnel, coordinating schedules, and solving complex production challenges.
- Ability to interpret business periodicals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
- Math strength in algebra and geometry.
- Hands-on problem solver with multiple concrete variables.
- Proficient with word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Capable of lifting/moving up to 25 lbs routinely; comfortable in a moderate-to-loud environment.
