The CNC Programmer reports to the Production Manager and is responsible for developing CNC programs using MasterCAM for prototype and production parts on multi-axis (including 5-axis) machines.
They construct programs from drawings and models, provide setup sketches and tool lists, and coordinate with purchasing to ensure tools are available.
They develop innovative machining approaches, ensure programs contain necessary operational details, and edit as needed.
Additional duties include operating CNC machines, attending status meetings, maintaining a safe workspace, assisting with cost estimates, and performing other tasks.
Required skills include at least five years of CNC programming experience with MasterCAM, proficiency in programming complex parts and sheet metal, knowledge of GD&T and ANSI standards, high attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
