CNC Programmer

Impact product quality, machining efficiency, and process improvements

1st shift position (6AM - 2:30PM or 8AM - 4:30PM)

Job Description

Develop, test, and optimize CNC programs for precision manufacturing applications.

Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to create machining programs.

Utilize CAD/CAM software to design machining strategies and tool paths.

Adjust machine settings and cutting parameters to improve efficiency while maintaining product quality.

Perform quality verification activities to ensure components meet specifications.

Troubleshoot machining and programming issues and implement corrective actions.

Collaborate with engineers, machinists, and quality personnel to improve manufacturing processes.

Create and maintain tooling, setup, and inspection documentation.

Train and support production personnel on CNC programs and machine operation.

Recommend process improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste.

Develop inspection records and support continuous improvement initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred, but not required

Minimum of two years of CNC programming or advanced machining experience.

Strong knowledge of machining processes including mills, lathes, grinders, and CNC equipment.

Experience with CAD/CAM software and CNC controls programming.

Understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) methodologies.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, customer specifications, and technical documents.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Must meet applicable U.S. export control requirements.
