This is a shop with decades in the industry, a skills-first culture, and a growing programming department where a strong programmer builds a long career.
An established aerospace precision manufacturer producing flight-critical components for major commercial and defense programs. Proprietary product, tight tolerances, and the kind of complex work other shops turn down. Close-knit and family-oriented, with people who have built careers here over decades.
- Programmers who came up through the trades and still like being close to the floor
- People who own a job from blueprint to first good part and stay engaged through the run
- Anyone who would rather be judged on what they can do than on years on a resume
- Not a fit if you want to program in a vacuum and hand off; this shop wants you involved
- First shift, Monday through Thursday, 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM (4x10)
- Program HAAS mills and turning centers, Brother Speedio 5-axis mill-turn, and Tsugami Swiss machines
- Program in Mastercam
- Aerospace alloys: titanium, Inconel, stainless steel, and aluminum
- Work orders run 100 to 5,000 pieces
'
- Build toolpaths in Mastercam for complex aerospace geometries (3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis)
- Program lathes with live tooling (C-axis and Y-axis) and multi-axis mills, including 3+2 positioning
- Review engineering blueprints and CAD models to choose the best machining strategy
- Calculate feeds, speeds, and tooling for aerospace materials
- Run simulations, verify programs, and coordinate setups with the machinists
- Troubleshoot programs to cut cycle time, and stay involved through the production run
:
- Mastercam programming experience
- HAAS mill and lathe programming
- 5-axis and 3+2 positioning experience
- Lathe programming with live tooling (C-axis and Y-axis); this is non-negotiable
- Willing to stay engaged through the full production run, not just hand off
:
- Brother Speedio 5-axis mill-turn or Tsugami Swiss experience
- Aerospace materials (titanium, Inconel) and tight-tolerance work
- SolidWorks, probing, or macro programming
- AS9100 or International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) environment exposure
