Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring CNC Programmers for a manufacturing company in Superior, WI. What You’ll Do as a CNC Programmer:
  • Develop and optimize CNC machining programs based on blueprints and technical drawings
  • Analyze job orders to determine tooling, sequencing, and machining processes
  • Test and validate CNC programs to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and product quality
  • Maintain organized CNC program and router databases by machine and process
  • Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and setup issues to minimize downtime
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes and standardize best practices
  • Support Lean manufacturing initiatives and conduct time studies to improve efficiency

What You Need to Bring to the CNC Programmer Role:
  • 2–4+ years of CNC programming experience or relevant technical education (Machine Tool Technology or Engineering)
  • Proficiency with CNC programming software (Mastercam preferred)
  • Strong blueprint reading skills, including GD&T knowledge
  • Experience with machining calculations and precision measurement tools
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Knowledge of Lean or continuous improvement principles preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively and support/train team members
