What You’ll Do as a CNC Programmer:- Develop and optimize CNC machining programs based on blueprints and technical drawings
- Analyze job orders to determine tooling, sequencing, and machining processes
- Test and validate CNC programs to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and product quality
- Maintain organized CNC program and router databases by machine and process
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and setup issues to minimize downtime
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes and standardize best practices
- Support Lean manufacturing initiatives and conduct time studies to improve efficiency
What You Need to Bring to the CNC Programmer Role:- 2–4+ years of CNC programming experience or relevant technical education (Machine Tool Technology or Engineering)
- Proficiency with CNC programming software (Mastercam preferred)
- Strong blueprint reading skills, including GD&T knowledge
- Experience with machining calculations and precision measurement tools
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Knowledge of Lean or continuous improvement principles preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively and support/train team members
