CNC Programmer/Engineer

**CNC Programmer/Engineer: Aurora, IL

**

We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer/Engineer to join our manufacturing team and play a key role in supporting and improving daily shop operations.

**Key Responsibilities:

**

• Create 3D models for new and existing jobs using SolidWorks

• Develop and verify 2D prints and manufacturing drawings

• Determine manufacturing processes and routings

• Create inspection reports using JobBOSS and Excel

• Program new jobs using Mastercam

• Post and verify CNC programs

• Perform offline programming, including macros for probing

• Design and create fixtures to optimize cycle times and maximize GD&T

• Establish and maintain standards for setup and tooling

• Verify programs are accurate and utilize the most current tooling and available inserts

• Troubleshoot and support the shop with manufacturing and programming issues

• Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement

• Research new and innovative tooling to improve competitiveness

• Provide cycle-time quotes for potential new jobs

• Work with and help develop employees across the organization

**Skills & Experience:

**

• **Education

  **: High school diploma or GED, required; degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, preferred

• **Experience

  **: 5+ years of CNC programming/engineering required; background in machining and GD&T, preferred

• **Knowledge:

  **Mastercam, SolidWorks, and Excel, required;

  Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing experience, preferred

• **Ability:

  **work with and develop employees, required

** $75,000 - $95,000/year

**Type:

** Full-time, 1st Shift, On-site

**Schedule:

** Monday – Friday, 6:45 a.m. – 4:15 p.m.
