Shift: Monday through Friday, 6am to 3:30pm
Position Purpose:
Responsible for designing, programming, optimizing, setting up, maintaining, and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality, precise components. Supports manufacturing from project start to validation, applying Lean principles to reduce waste and improve productivity through CAD/CAM programming, standardized setups, automation, and continuous improvement methods.
Key Duties:
- Set up and operate CNC Lathes and Machining Centers (3 and 5 axis).
- Interpret drawings and schematics; program CNC machines accordingly.
- Design fixtures and edit programs to enhance efficiency.
- Develop and optimize CNC programs, focusing on waste elimination and process standardization.
- Perform inspections to ensure parts meet specifications and document quality records.
- Collaborate with engineering and other departments for efficient production.
- Follow safety policies and utilize Lean tools like 6S, Fishbone, and FMEA.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED; technical training preferred.
- At least 5 years of CNC operator experience; 3 years in program adjustment.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and CNC systems.
- Knowledge of measurement tools, blueprints, and safety practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and instructions.
