The CNC Programmer III is responsible for developing and updating CNC programs for contour machining of metal parts on multi-axis machines.
They analyze drawings and design data to determine cutting parameters, create tool designs, and manufacture fixtures.
The role involves preparing geometric layouts, writing and verifying CNC programs, and troubleshooting manufacturing issues.
The ideal candidate has proficiency in Mastercam and SolidWorks, strong blueprint reading skills, and at least 5-7 years of related experience, including three years in machining.
They must work independently, manage multiple projects, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Additional requirements include an associate’s degree or equivalent, excellent analytical and communication skills, and the ability to operate and set up CNC machines.
