Location: Indianapolis, IN

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Programmer to lead the development and optimization of manufacturing processes that support cost efficiency, production goals, and high-quality output. This role will focus on leveraging advanced CAD/CAM tools such as Mastercam and SolidWorks to design efficient machining strategies and ensure manufacturability from concept through production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Follow all company safety policies and maintain a strong safety-first mindset
  • Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine specifications, tolerances, tooling requirements, and machining parameters
  • Develop, optimize, and maintain CNC programs for mills, lathes, and grinders using Mastercam and SolidWorks
  • Occasionally operate CNC machinery to validate programs and support production needs
  • Collaborate with manufacturing estimators to provide input on quotes and feasibility of new projects
  • Select, source, and prepare tooling and equipment required for each job
  • Work closely with project managers to review performance, cost data, and lessons learned for continuous improvement
  • Support ongoing process improvement initiatives and contribute to manufacturing efficiency
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred OR 4+ years of CNC programming experience
  • Strong understanding of CNC and conventional machine capabilities and limitations
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with a problem-solving mindset
  • Experience with Mastercam and SolidWorks required
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as Epicor (preferred)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project)
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to perform under pressure and consistently meet deadlines
