Description

Reporting directly into the Director of Engineering, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Develop and optimize CNC programs to meet production and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure manufacturability of components.
  • Create CNC programs in CAM software and check programs using Vericut software.
  • Analyze blueprints, engineering drawings, and CAD models to generate precise CNC instructions.
  • Maintain and update CNC programming documentation and tooling requirements.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and problem-solving for machining issues on the production floor.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality assurance standards in all programming activities.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

Profile

A successful CNC Programming Engineer should have:

  • High School Degree or GED.
  • Proficiency in CNC programming software.
  • Experience with CNC mill multi-axis programming.
  • Experience with NX.
  • CAD/CAM experience.
  • Strong understanding of machining processes, tools, and materials.
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings and CAD models.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment.
  • Attention to detail and a focus on producing high-quality results.
