About the Role
American Made Solutions (AMS) is connecting with a growing precision manufacturing partner in Leander, TX, and were looking for a highly skilled CNC Programmer who is confident in Mastercam and hands-on machining. This individual will act as the lead programmer on-site, taking ownership of programming projects, machine setup, and quality output across CNC mills and lathes.
What Youll Be Doing
Develop and edit CNC programs using Mastercam
Set up and run CNC mills and/or lathes, ensuring first-piece accuracy
Interpret blueprints, shop drawings, GD&T, and job travelers
Perform quality checks with precision measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers
Diagnose and correct machining or programming issues on the fly
Work closely with engineering and quality personnel to enhance machining efficiencies
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized machining area
What Youll Need to Bring
3+ years working in a CNC machining environment
2+ years programming with Mastercam
Strong grasp of tooling, cutting parameters, and material behaviors (steel, aluminum, plastics, etc.)
Confident in reading technical drawings and applying GD&T
Ability to work autonomously while being a strong contributor to a production team
Bonus Skills (Not Required but a Plus)
Experience programming 3-, 4-, or 5-axis equipment
Exposure to CAD platforms such as SolidWorks
Background in high-mix, low-volume production environments or custom job shop work
