This role requires strong machining knowledge, programming expertise, and hands-on collaboration with machinists, engineering, and quality teams to ensure efficient and accurate production.The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and possesses a strong understanding of aerospace tolerances, machining strategies, and shop floor execution.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Program 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC milling machinesDevelop and optimize machining strategies for:Aerospace toolingPrecision-machined componentsGround support equipmentCreate and maintain:CNC programsTool listsSetup sheetsManufacturing documentationReview engineering drawings, CAD models, and customer specificationsSelect cutting tools, fixtures, and machining methodsSupport machinists during setup, prove-out, and productionTroubleshoot machining and programming issues on the shop floorImprove cycle times, tooling efficiency, and manufacturing processesCollaborate with engineering and quality teams to ensure compliance with customer requirementsMaintain organized revision control of CNC programs and manufacturing dataRequirements:5+ years of CNC programming experienceStrong knowledge of:CNC milling operationsTooling and workholdingGD&T interpretationMachining of aluminum, steel, stainless, and aerospace materialsExperience programming:3-axis and 4-axis CNC millsAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD modelsHands-on shop floor experience with setup and prove-outPreferredAerospace manufacturing experience5-axis programming experienceExperience with:MastercamFusion 360SolidWorks CAMGibbsCAMHyperMillFamiliarity with:HaasMazakDMG MoriOkumaFanuc controlsKnowledge of AS9100 manufacturing environmentsFixture design and process optimization experiencePreferred Skills Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting ability High attention to detail and quality Ability to work independently and collaboratively Strong communication and organizational skills Continuous improvement mindset
