We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our team in Rochester, NY.
This role is responsible for developing and maintaining software programs and libraries for CNC fabrication equipment, including turret punches, lasers, combination turret/laser machines, press brakes, and related automation. You will also support additional activities within the CNC fabrication area as needed.
What You'll Do
Evaluate and close technical NCMRs (Non-Conforming Material Reports)
Provide technical support across all shifts for manufacturing operators, maintenance associates, engineers, and supervisors
Identify and support "lights out” operations through programming activities
Serve as a backup for developing MPCDs (Manufacturing Process Control Documents) for fabricated products
Evaluate and close action item requests from pre-production review activities (NORP / Proview)
What We're Looking For
Experience: 3–5 years of related experience in CNC programming is required.
Software Expertise: You must have a working knowledge of Amada and Mazak CNC programming software (e.g., Amada VPSS 4IE Blank, Dr. Abe Bend, Radan).
Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree (Manufacturing Technology or related) preferred.
Technical Skills: Strong 3D modeling skills (SolidWorks) and experience with AutoCAD.
Attributes: Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving capabilities.
