Lingo Staffing is hiring a CNC Programmer and a CNC Machinist for a Manufacturer in Salem, VA!

CNC Programmer and CNC Machinist - $20-25/hour DOE – Salem, VA  
Shift: 1st Shift, hours may vary depending on needs  
*May require overtime* 
Type: Temp to Perm 
Pay: $20-$25/hour depending on experience 
Location: Salem, VA 24153 
Industry: Skilled Trade 
  
Key Responsibilities:  
  • Translate blueprints and technical drawings into CNC programs
     
  • Writing and testing CNC programs for various machines such as:
    • Gun drills
    • Horizontal mills
    • Bridge mills
    • Horizontal lathes
  • Operate various CNC machines across multiple material types including
    • Carbon steel, Stainless steel, Nickel alloys
    • Graphite
    • Titanium, Zirconium, Tantalum
  • Utilize problem solving tools to address non-conformities and improve productivity
  • Communicate with supervisors and engineering to optimize manufacturing processes
  • Develop and implement various tools and fixtures as required to support CNC machining of parts and materials
  • Inspect finished parts to ensure products meet Mersen and/or customer quality standard

  
Requirements: 
  • Must be able to lift 45lbs
  • Must be able to operate a forklift
  • Proficiency in using precision measuring tools
  • Ability to read and interpret detail drawings
  • 3 years CNC manufacturing experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work overtime as required including nights and/or weekends

Preferred Qualifications:  
  • Machinist certification or completion of related courses
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
  • 3 years CNC programming experience with SURFCAM or equivalent CAM tools
