Ready to turn complex blueprints into flawless parts?
Do you enjoy dialing in feeds, speeds, and coolant flow until the finish is just right? Can you switch from a horizontal mill to a VTL and keep tolerance stack-ups under control? If that sounds like you, this role could be your next step.
What you’ll do
- Own the setup, programming, and operation of CNC machines (CNC VTL, CNC horizontal and vertical mills, and CNC horizontal lathes) to produce parts to exact specifications—on time and within router hours.
- Translate blueprints and written/verbal specs into efficient machining plans.
- Select, align, and verify tooling; confirm sharpness and usability before every run.
- Program or edit G/M-code as needed; set speeds, feeds, depth and angle of cut, and coolant parameters.
- Watch the first-off like a hawk—spot malfunctions or drift, then adjust controls to hold tolerance.
- Inspect in-process and final parts with precision instruments; document results and iterate.
- Keep machines, tooling, and parts clean; perform routine maintenance to ensure uptime.
- Champion continuous improvement across methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
What you bring
- Hands-on experience across multiple machine tools and progressive machining operations.
- Blueprint/plan literacy and the ability to follow complex routers.
- Mechanical know-how, solid math, and sharp problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding organization, attention to detail, and time management.
- Commitment to our values: personal accountability, discipline, trust, and proactive action.
- High school diploma or GED (required); vocational machining coursework (preferred).
- Comfort operating forklifts and overhead cranes; proficiency with precision measuring tools; capability to maintain shop machinery.
Physical and safety requirements
- Lift/carry up to 50 lbs on occasion; team lift or use a lifting device for anything above 50 lbs.
- Climb/use ladders; operate lifting devices; navigate the shop floor without assistance.
- At times, work in confined spaces (in, on, and under equipment).
- Comfortable with a typical shop environment: heat, cold, dust, noise, fumes, and similar elements.
- PPE: safety glasses and steel-toe shoes at all times; additional PPE as required.
Our culture
We’re builders at heart—forward-thinking, collaborative, and ethical. You’ll be encouraged to own your work, share ideas, and continuously refine processes so every run is better than the last.
