Job Description

Build Something That Matters

At Noble Company, we're proud of our reputation for quality, innovation, and craftsmanship. For 80 years, we've designed and manufactured premium building products that are trusted throughout the construction industry. As an OEM, we design our own products to our own standards, so we're not at the mercy of someone else's designs or changing requirements. We're a stable, profitable company that combines the strength of an established manufacturer with the collaborative culture of a close-knit team.

We're looking for an experienced CNC Programmer who enjoys both sides of the work: designing parts and programming them. This role combines hands-on CAD design with CAM programming, so you'll take parts from 3D model to finished program and see the direct impact of your work. We're a small team with very little red tape. If you see a better way to do something, you'll have the support to make it happen and truly make this role your own.

What You'll Do

  • Create and modify 3D CAD models and engineering drawings for parts, fixtures, and products. Design is a significant part of this role, not just programming.
  • Develop and optimize programs for Noble's 3-axis and 5-axis CNC routers, machining foam and plastic materials.
  • Evaluate our existing models and programs and rebuild them in SolidWorks/SolidCAM as we transition away from PowerMill.
  • Improve fixturing, tooling, setups, and machining efficiency.
  • Support new product development, prototyping, and product enhancements.
  • Troubleshoot machining and quality issues while partnering with operations and quality teams.
  • Work closely with CNC operators and pitch in to support production when the team needs it.

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3-5+ years of CNC programming experience.
  • Hands-on CAD design experience creating or modifying 3D models and engineering drawings. You don't need to be a full-time designer, but you should be comfortable working in the tools.
  • SolidWorks and SolidCAM experience strongly preferred; MasterCam, PowerMill, or comparable CAD/CAM software also considered.
  • Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, fixturing, and setups. Experience with CNC routers and non-metal materials (foam, plastics) is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and own your work while collaborating with a small, hands-on team.
  • Commitment to quality, continuous improvement, and problem-solving.
  • Backgrounds in automotive, furniture, aerospace, machine shops, tooling, or metal fabrication are all welcome.

Why Join Noble?

  • Competitive pay: $30-$45/hour based on experience
  • Stability: 80 years in business, profitable, and not tied to the ups and downs of automotive or office furniture
  • We design our own products, so you're not chasing someone else's changing designs
  • Small team, little red tape, and real freedom to improve processes and make the role your own
  • Opportunity to influence product design, process improvements, and new product development
  • A supportive team to help you get up to speed, plus on-the-job and external training
  • Monday-Friday day schedule with flexible start times

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid vacation and holidays
  • Life and disability insurance
  • Employee assistance resources
  • Professional development and training opportunities

Our Culture

We're a close-knit team where people genuinely help one another succeed. When something comes up on the floor, it's all hands on deck.
