Description
- Develop, modify, and maintain CNC programs supporting a variety of manufacturing processes including EDM, milling, and jig grinding operations.
- Create CNC programs for precision 3-axis milling applications involving hardened tool steel components.
- Generate and maintain tooling inspection documentation and manufacturing reports to ensure quality and process consistency.
- Develop prototype manufacturing routings, process documentation, and control plans to support new product initiatives.
- Program, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain 3D printing equipment as part of prototype and manufacturing support activities.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to create and update technical product drawings and manufacturing documentation.
- Manage drawing files and engineering documentation within a Product Data Management (PDM) environment.
- Support tooling, fixture, and gage manufacturing activities through operation of tool room equipment when required.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve programming efficiency, machining performance, and manufacturing processes.
Profile
- Minimum of five years of machining experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience with machine setup, troubleshooting, tool wear compensation, and part inspection activities.
- Strong understanding of CNC programming principles and machining processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation.
- Working knowledge of GD&T principles and dimensional inspection requirements.
- Familiarity with G-Code and M-Code programming.
- Experience using CAD software is advantageous.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general computer applications.
- Comfortable working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment where priorities may shift regularly.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and a collaborative approach to working with engineering and production teams.
