Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $90,000 – $110,000+ (based on experience)
We are seeking a Manufacturing Applications Engineer to bridge the gap between CNC programming, engineering, and manufacturing operations. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong machining fundamentals with advanced programming and automation capabilities.
You’ll play a key role in improving efficiency, standardizing processes, and driving automation across CNC operations—helping reduce operator dependency while increasing throughput and quality.
Develop, optimize, and maintain CNC programs for production environments
Interpret complex engineering drawings, models, and blueprints
Select tooling, feeds/speeds, and machining strategies
Design and improve fixturing and manufacturing processes
Troubleshoot machining and programming issues on the floor
Collaborate with operators, engineers, and quality teams
Create parametric CNC programs using macros (e.g., Fanuc Macro B or similar)
Implement variables, conditionals, loops, and logic-based programming
Develop reusable templates and standardized program structures
Automate probing, tool setting, and in-process adjustments
Build safeguards to reduce operator input and increase consistency
Deep understanding of CNC machining fundamentals
Experience with CAD/CAM software (Mastercam, Fusion 360, NX, or similar)
Strong knowledge of tooling, materials, tolerances, and fixturing
Ability to read and interpret complex part drawings
Experience with multi-axis machining preferred
Macro programming experience (Fanuc or equivalent)
Strong problem-solving and process improvement mindset
Background in high-mix or complex manufacturing environments
Exposure to process engineering or manufacturing engineering
We’re open to candidates from multiple paths, including:
CNC Programmers looking to move into engineering/automation
Senior Machinists with strong programming experience
Manufacturing or CNC Engineers with hands-on shop floor knowledge
Opportunity to drive real impact in manufacturing efficiency and automation
Blend of hands-on work and high-level engineering
High visibility across operations, engineering, and leadership
Clear path to senior engineering or automation leadership roles
Competitive base salary: $90K – $110K+
Performance-based incentives (if applicable)
Full benefits package (health, dental, vision, 401k, etc.)
If you’re a CNC expert ready to step into a more strategic, automation-focused role—or already operating at that level—we want to hear from you.
