A day in the life

You start your shift with a quick review of CMMS work orders, then grab the vibration analyzer and thermal camera for a predictive route. A spindle shows an early sign of distress—you plan an alignment before it becomes downtime. Minutes later, a machining center goes down. You triage fast, read the electrical and hydraulic schematics, isolate the fault, swap a drive component, and bring it back online. Before the day ends, you complete precision alignments, log root causes, and update preventive tasks so the same failure doesn’t return.

What you’ll handle

• Diagnose and repair CNC machines and associated equipment
• Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
• Read and interpret electrical and fluid power schematics
• Perform precision alignments, including spindle-related work
• Execute preventive and predictive maintenance using CMMS
• Respond urgently to machine-down events and drive to root cause

What sets you up for success

• 5+ years of hands-on CNC maintenance experience
• Proven troubleshooting across electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical domains
• Comfort reading schematics and technical documentation
• Demonstrated experience with CNC machine tools
• Proactive, improvement-focused mindset

Not the right match if you have only

• Facilities maintenance experience
• Basic mechanical repair without CNC exposure
• Operator-only background

Bonus capabilities

• Automation or robotics exposure
• Drives or PLC familiarity
• Welding or machining background
