    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC/Setup Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating CNC machines, performing machine setups, and ensuring high-quality production of parts.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Setup/operate CNC machines, lathes, mills, and other equipment to manufacture parts. Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams to select, position and secure machinery. Adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications and in a timely fashion. Use calipers and micrometers to inspect parts coming off the machines. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment. Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces of equipment. Operate/monitor multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops. Communicate with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials. Maintain a safe environment. Assist in the organization and maintenance of machine shop work environment. Monitor machine performance and perform routine checks on equipment to ensure optimal function. Record and report on tooling life is, including wear, replacements, and adjustments. Maintain data for quality control, including part measurements, tolerances, and inspection results. Assist in identifying inefficiencies and work with the team to implement improvements. Document machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. Collaborate with other operators, and maintenance personnel to ensure smooth operations. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies.

    Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

    High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

    Knowledge of Production Procedures. Ability to effectively apply analytical and problem-solving skills. Attention to Detail. Teamwork. Work Independently. Excellent time managing skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
