CNC Set Up Operator

Job Description:

-Set Up and Operate CNC Vertical Milling Centers according to job orders and specifications

-Select and install tooling, fixtures, and upload program

-Read and interpret blueprints

-Perform first piece inspection and in process inspections using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other measuring equipment to confirm that parts meet specifications

-Make adjustments to machinery as necessary, minor troubleshooting

-Responsible for running up to two machines at a time. Can expect to perform 1-5 set ups per day depending on job orders

-Ability to work in a fast paced, team environment

Must Haves:

-CNC Set Up Operating experience with Vertical Milling Centers

-Blueprint Reading

-Quality Inspection using Micrometers, Calipers, and Gauges

-Experience with Fanuc controls

Pluses:

-Experience Setting Up and Operating Haas VMC’s

-Ability to edit programs

-Experience with G and M Codes

-Experience working with CNC machines with up to 5 axis

Machinery

-Haas VF-2 Vertical Mills

-Haas VF-5 Vertical Mills

-DMG Mori CMX 1100 Mills

-Okuma Mills and Lathes

-DMG Mori NVX 5100, 7000 Mills

You should be proficient in:

• CNC Tooling
• G-Code
• M-Code
• CNC Machine Setup & Changeover
• Machine Setups for Production Runs

Machines & technologies you'll use:

• CNC Mill (3-4 axis VMC) (Haas, Doosan, Fanuc)
• Multimeter
• CNC Lathe (2-4 axis) (Haas, Doosan)
• Vertical Lathe
