Set-Up Programmer – Turning (CNC) 1st Shift | Pay Based on Experience (Minimum $30.00/hour)
We are seeking an experienced Set-Up Programmer – Turning to support 1st shift CNC turning operations. This role is responsible for programming, setting up, and optimizing CNC lathes to ensure quality, efficiency, and repeatability. Candidates must have multiple years of hands-on experience in a production machining environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Program, set up, and operate CNC turning equipment (lathes)
Edit and optimize CNC programs at the machine
Select tooling, set offsets, and establish workholding
Perform first-piece inspections and ensure parts meet print specifications
Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and process issues
Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
Required Qualifications:
Several years of CNC turning set-up and programming experience
Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge
Experience with CNC controls (Fanuc preferred)
Proficiency with measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
