CNC Machinist Duties and Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job orders.
• Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials.
• Install and align tools, jigs, and fixtures on the machine.
• Determine the best machining strategy for efficiency, safety, and accuracy.
• Optimize cutting paths to reduce cycle time and wear on tools.
• Select appropriate tools and cutting conditions for material type and geometry.
• Analyze and solve issues related to tool wear, vibration, chatter, or part deviation.
• Modify programs or setups to improve part quality or reduce downtime.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance and cleaning of machines.
• Ensure coolant and lubrication systems are functioning properly.
