CNC Setup Operator (Temp-to-Hire)
Pay Rate: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
Schedule:
Monday - Thursday: 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Friday: 7:00 AM - 11:00 AM
Adecco is seeking a Setup Operator for a temp-to-hire opportunity with a growing manufacturing company. This position is ideal for a mechanically inclined individual with machine setup experience, strong blueprint reading skills, and a commitment to quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
• Set up and operate punch presses and related equipment
• Ensure all products meet quality standards and stop production when quality issues arise
• Configure and verify proper machine guarding and safety measures
• Perform first-piece inspections and validate production runs
• Troubleshoot machine issues, mis-hits, and quality deviations
• Perform preventative and basic reactive maintenance on equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints and production specifications
• Utilize inspection tools to verify product quality
• Assist in other departments and production areas as needed
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous machine setup experience preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Basic math skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to use inspection and measuring tools
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience programming and operating punch press equipment
• Experience training or mentoring other operators
• Ability to perform minor machine repairs and maintenance
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
