Contract position through 2026 (Potential contract-to-hire)
Pay Rate: up to $27.00 per hour (based on proven work history)
Third Shift position: 11:00pm - 7:30am - training required on 1st shift (approx. 3 weeks)
Job Description of the CNC Set Up Technician:
Responsible for CNC machine troubleshooting, updating tool paths and completing set ups for CNC Lathes in a high volume production environment.- Knowledge of Hard Turning, Green Turning, Milling, Broaching, and Part Finishing machining processes
- Knowledge to teach robot and gantry pickup points
- Knowledge of Nachi robot controls
- General understanding of manufacturing processes and detailed knowledge of lathe tooling/programming
Responsibilities of the CNC Set Up Technician:- Production machine changeovers
- Troubleshooting loading devices and minor machine issues
- Replacing indicators/trucks for production changes
- Not expected to perform advanced electrical maintenance
Required Experience and Education of the CNC Set Up Technician:- Minimum 2-5 years of CNC lathe set up experience in a manufacturing environment
- Interpreting G and M codes
- Machine set ups and changeovers on CNC lathes
- Troubleshoot daily production problems through root cause analysis techniques as they occur
- Experience using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, bore gages, and indicators
- High School Diploma or GED required
