    Description

Our client is a global precision parts manufacturer with a state of the art facility and equipment. They have an immediate need for a CNC Machining Supervisor on 1st shift

    Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented CNC Machining Supervisor to lead our first-shift manufacturing team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the operation of CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, ensuring high-quality production, safety compliance, and efficient workflow. Your leadership will drive continuous improvement initiatives, foster a collaborative team environment, and uphold the highest standards of precision manufacturing. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about machining technology, this is your opportunity to make a significant impact!

    Responsibilities

    • Supervise and coordinate daily operations of CNC machining processes on first shift, including CNC lathes and milling machines equipped with Fanuc controls.
    • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of machinists and operators to meet production goals while maintaining safety standards.
    • Oversee setup, calibration, and programming of CNC machines using CAM programming software; ensure adherence to blueprints and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
    • Conduct quality inspections utilizing precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify part specifications.
    • Maintain accurate documentation of production activities, machine logs, and inspection reports; troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime.
    • Implement lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflows, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency.
    • Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams on tooling selection, machine maintenance schedules, and process improvements.

    Requirements

    • Proven experience supervising CNC machining operations within a manufacturing environment; knowledge of CNC programming is essential.
    • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience operating CNC milling machines and lathes using Fanuc controls or similar systems.
    • Proficiency in reading blueprints and applying GD&T principles for precise part fabrication.
    • Familiarity with electrical discharge machining (EDM), plastics injection molding processes, welding techniques, and assembly procedures is a plus.
    • Skilled in using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software such as SolidWorks or similar for design review and tooling development.
    • Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately and perform basic math calculations for measurements and tolerances.
    • Experience with power tools, hand tools, tooling management, forklift operation, and safety protocols in a manufacturing setting.
    • Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills; capable of training team members and fostering a positive work environment. Join us as we push the boundaries of precision manufacturing! Your expertise will help shape innovative products while advancing your career in a dynamic company committed to excellence.
