CNC Swiss Machine Programmer / Setup / Operator

We are seeking a CNC Swiss Machine Programmer / Setup / Operator to join our precision machining team. This hands-on role is responsible for programming, setting up, operating, and optimizing Swiss-style CNC lathes to manufacture high-precision components while maintaining tight tolerances, quality standards, and production efficiency.

• Program CNC Swiss machines using G-code and CAM software (Mastercam, Esprit).

• Perform complete machine setups, including tooling, guide bushings, and bar feeders.

• Interpret engineering blueprints and GD&T requirements.

• Optimize machining processes to reduce cycle times and minimize scrap.

• Operate CNC Swiss machines and adjust tool offsets during production.

• Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments.

• Troubleshoot machining issues, including tool wear, chatter, and dimensional drift.

• Complete First Article Inspections (FAI) and maintain inspection records.

• Ensure compliance with ISO and quality management procedures.

• Perform routine machine maintenance and support continuous improvement initiatives.

• Minimum 3 years of CNC Swiss machining experience.

• Strong knowledge of G-code programming and GD&T.

• Experience programming and setting up Swiss-style CNC lathes.

• Ability to maintain tight tolerances up to ±0.0005".

• Experience machining brass, aluminum, stainless steel, and plastics.

• Familiarity with Star or Citizen Swiss machines, bar feeders, and live tooling.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to read technical drawings and use precision measuring equipment.
