CNC Turning/Milling Machining Specialist (Aerospace)
Based in: Hastings, MI

What you’ll do
- Set up and run CNC lathes and mills to meet drawing requirements and customer specs.
- Handle preventive maintenance and on-the-fly troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
- Monitor production; adjust tooling, offsets, and parameters to maintain quality standards.
- Interpret blueprints and technical documents to plan operations and sequences.
- Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges; document results.
- Partner with teammates to improve throughput, reduce waste, and share best practices.
- Keep your cell organized and safe, following all shop and safety procedures.
What you bring
- High school diploma or equivalent; machining-related technical certification preferred.
- Hands-on CNC experience with lathes and/or mills.
- Familiarity with Mazak controls is a plus, not a requirement.
- Solid understanding of machining methods, tooling, and materials.
- Confident reading blueprints and technical drawings.
- Comfortable with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Detail-focused, quality-driven mindset.
- Ability to solve problems and work both independently and collaboratively.
