Make precision real
Our mission is simple: deliver flawless parts, fast. As a CNC Setup Specialist, you transform drawings into reality—setting up Mazak and Doosan mills and lathes for short runs and prototypes, proving out first articles, and ensuring every feature aligns with the print.
Impact you’ll have
Every day brings a new challenge: a different material, geometry, or tolerance target. You stage tools, touch off, set offsets, and measure meticulously to ±0.0005". You collaborate with experienced programmers and machinists, tweak G-code when needed, and suggest process improvements that save minutes without losing a tenth.
Success looks like
- First-article parts that meet spec on the first pass
- Efficient, repeatable setups documented via setup sheets
- Clear feedback to programmers and teammates that improves the next run
- A calm, respectful presence on the floor—no raised voices, just results
What you know
- GD&T principles applied at the machine
- Blueprint reading and practical G-code adjustments
- CNC tooling selection, touch-offs, and offset strategies
- Inspection with indicators, calipers, and micrometers
