Job Description:
Fortune 500 client is looking to add a strong C#/.Net Core Engineer
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain RESTful APIs using ASP.NET Core
- Build backend services supporting application features such as:
- User entitlements and permissions
- Metadata and configuration
- Application availability and settings
- Collaborate with frontend and other backend teams to integrate secure APIs
- Implement and consume authentication and authorization using industry‐standard practices (OAuth2 / OpenID Connect, claims‐based authorization)
- Ensure code quality, performance, and maintainability through:
- Clean architecture principles
- Unit and integration testing
- Code reviews and refactoring
- Debug and resolve issues, including performance and reliability concerns
- Contribute to technical design discussions and documentation
- Work independently on backend features while collaborating within a cross‐functional team
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- 3–5 years of professional experience in backend software development
- Strong proficiency in C# and .NET (.NET Core / .NET 6+)
- Solid experience building ASP.NET Core APIs
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful interfaces (OpenAPI/Swagger)
- Working knowledge of relational databases, including:
- Schema design
- Indexes and joins
- Basic query optimization
- Hands‐on experience with an ORM such as Dapper or similar
- Practical understanding of:
- Authentication and authorization concepts
- Secure API development
- Performance considerations in backend systems
- Experience with unit and integration testing
- Ability to troubleshoot and support production systems
Bonus Skills
- Familiarity with Azure services, such as:
- App Service
- Application Insights
- Experience integrating backend services with:
- Front‐end frameworks
- CI/CD pipelines
- Awareness of OAuth2 / OpenID Connect flows as a backend service consumer
Soft Skills
- Strong problem‐solving and analytical abilities
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating across teams
- Willingness to contribute ideas and participate in design discussions
