The Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP) at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, seeks to hire a Co-Adjunct Non-Teaching position.
The Co-Adjunct Non-Teaching position supports the New Jersey Department of Education Mental Health Service Professional Demonstration Grant Program that aims to increase the number and capacity of highly trained doctoral-level school psychology graduate students who seek employment in high need New Jersey schools upon graduation.
The primary role of the licensed practicing psychologist/certified school psychologist is to provide specialized mental health supervision to 2-3 trainees each week. The supervision focuses on providing counseling and clinical guidance for mental health service delivery in high need schools. The Co-Adjunct Non-Teaching position will ensure compliance with both grant requirements and the standards for school psychology supervision, contributing to the successful development of future school psychologists within the educational system.

This position requires independent judgment in assessing and guiding the doctoral student's clinical/counseling practice, ensuring compliance with both grant requirements and institutional policies. The position directly influences the success of the grant-funded initiative and the development of future school psychologists by ensuring that supervised students meet the necessary competencies. 90 % 1. Provide supervision and guidance to an PsyD student, ensuring adherence to grant requirements, school psychology competencies and ethical standards.
10% 2. Collaborate with grant co-director and project stakeholders to ensure compliance with grant expectations and submit required student evaluations to the appropriate department.
