Co-Ed Cross Country Assistant Coach

Centerville Senior High School is accepting applications for the position of Co-Ed Cross Country Assistant Coach for the 2026-2027 school year.

The successful candidate will assist the head coach in developing and supporting the cross country program while fostering sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, and academic success among student-athletes. Responsibilities include assisting with practices, meets, conditioning, and other program activities as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous coaching experience in cross country, track and field, or a related sport.
• Knowledge of distance running, training techniques, conditioning, and race strategy.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to motivate student-athletes while promoting teamwork, personal growth, and a positive team culture.
• Willingness to work collaboratively with the head coach, athletic department, and school staff.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of sportsmanship and representing Centerville-Abington Community Schools in a positive manner.
• Must meet all IHSAA, school corporation, and state coaching requirements.
