Co-Lead Teacher for Older Ones classroom

About the Role:
The Learning Tree in Wilmington, NC is looking for a passionate and nurturing Co-Lead Teacher to join our Older Ones classroom! Responsibilities:

• Co-lead daily classroom instruction and activities tailored to the developmental needs of older ones children
• Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate curriculum and lesson plans
• Foster a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment for all children
• Collaborate closely with your co-teacher to ensure consistent classroom management and routines
• Observe, document, and communicate children's developmental progress to families
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow staff members
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom space

Requirements:

• Experience in early childhood education or a related childcare setting
• Degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field preferred
• Strong understanding of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP)
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills
• Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for working with young children
• Must meet NC childcare licensing requirements, including background check
• Current or ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
