Learn more today! www.bendix.com/careers\n \nJOB DESCRIPTION:\n\n Participate in the development and implementation of beneficial programs/projects aimed at improving employee safety, equipment, ergonomics, emergency response systems, and environmental/sustainability programs.\n Participate on new equipment launch teams to complete requirements for HSE, including job hazard analysis, personal protective equipment assessments, machine guarding assessments, waste evaluations, and HSE regulatory permitting.\n Investigate and contribute to the resolution of employee occupational safety injuries, environmental incidents, and property loss events.\n Monitor, analyze, and report on operational safety and environmental/sustainability metrics.\n Assist with HSE process improvement projects.\n Contribute and participate in ISO14001 implementation and auditing teams.\n Contribute and participate in corporate HSE regulatory compliance audits to ensure OSHA and EPA requirements are being met.\n Develop safety and environmental awareness training, communication material, and employee engagement events to promote HSE initiatives.\n Serve as a liaison with plant HSE, engineering personnel, and other functional disciplines with potential for travel as required.\n \nELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS\n\n Currently attending an accredited college or university\n 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher\n Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment\n Exceptional analytical skills\n Ability to establish trust and credibility\n Knowledge of statistical tools preferred\n Strong written and oral communication skills\n Ability to travel domestically (US) and possibly internationally (Mexico, Canada)\n Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint\n \nNote: The anticipated wage scale for candidates who will work in Avon, Ohio or remote is $20.00 to $31.00/per hour.
