Job Summary:

Widewaters Aviation is seeking a qualified Beechjet 400A Captain CoPilot to join our team. This role is essential for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our flight services. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive flying experience, and the ability to communicate effectively within the cockpit and with external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Flight Operations:
    • Prepare for flights by conducting preflight checks, obtaining weather information, and ensuring all necessary clearances and fuel requirements are met.
    • Complete all required post-flight paperwork, maintain aircraft cleanliness, and conduct post-flight inspections.
  • Aircraft Maintenance:
    • Maintain the aircraft in a ready state by detailing, washing, and restocking supplies on non-flying days.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Work closely with other crew members, effectively communicating and ensuring a high level of safety and service for passengers.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
  • Minimum of 5 years of flight experience, including at least 1 year as Captain.
  • Total Flight Time: 1500 hours
  • Turbine Time: 175 hours
  • Jet Time: 100 hours
  • Proficient in English, capable of effective communication with crew members, ATC, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical aviation situations.
  • Strong logical and scientific reasoning skills to address a variety of aviation-related challenges.
  • Valid Department of Motor Vehicle Driver’s License.
  • Jet Type Rating (BE-400 Type Rating preferred but negotiable).
  • FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
  • 1st Class Medical Certification.
  • Must pass a background check and have no accidents or violations.

Location Requirements:

  • Must reside within 2 hours of Syracuse airport.

Physical Demands:

  • Regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift/move up to 100 pounds.

Work Environment:

  • This role involves regular exposure to various work environments typical for aviation operations.

Travel/Time Commitment:

  • Pilots are expected to report at least 90 minutes before scheduled flights. This includes conducting necessary preflight preparations and ensuring the aircraft is ready for dispatch.

Aircraft Training Contract:

  • All new hires will be required to sign a training contract.
