Esports Assistant Coach

The Esports Assistant Coach supports the Esports Coach in the instruction, organization, and supervision of the program. Responsibilities include assisting with practices, supporting skill development and competition preparation, supervising students during program activities and matches, and attending scheduled events and tournaments.

The Assistant Coach is expected to demonstrate effective leadership, collaboration, and positive role modeling while maintaining a safe and supportive environment for students. Additional responsibilities may include assisting with travel, equipment/technology management, and other program-related activities as assigned by the Esports Coach.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Assistant Coach supports instructional and operational needs of the Esports program.

Instruction, Practice & Competition Support

• Assist with instruction during practices, team sessions, and competitive match preparation.

• Support student skill development, communication, and strategy implementation.

• Assist in coordinating competition registration and match-day operations.

Supervision & Student Safety

• Supervise students during practices, matches, and travel activities.

• Maintain a safe, structured, and sportsmanlike environment for students.

• Assist the Head Coach in monitoring online activity in school-sponsored meeting places.

Program Support

• Support the Esports Coach with assigned duties and program needs.

• Assist with additional responsibilities related to travel, equipment/technology management, and events.

• Assist with recruitment, outreach, and management of program media or livestreaming as needed.
