Coach-Assistant, Wrestling MS 1

Responsibilities:

• Supports the Head Coach in conducting the athletic program

of that particular sport and the total athletic program.

• Is loyal to the coach and to the team. An Assistant Coach generally

must give up some of his/her own thoughts to conform to the

overall pattern as set forth by the Head Coach.

• Assists the Head Coach in a manner which will be most beneficial

to the entire program.

• Assumes the responsibility for the development and guidance of a

specific team within the total program as assigned by the Head Coach.

• Attends all meetings requested by the Athletic Administrator or

Head Coach.

• Covers scouting trips requested by the Head Coach.
• Assists the Head Coach in checking in all equipment at the

end of the season.

• In the absence of the Head Coach and First Assistant, if any,

assumes all responsibilities herein designated as those of the

Head Coach.

• Abides by the Athletic Department policies and operating

procedures.

• Performs other coaching-related duties as directed by the Head Coach,

Athletic Administrator or Principal.
