Coaching Position - High School North
Position available for the 2026-2027 School Year:
Qualifications:
Minimum Certification requirement: Substitute Teacher
Coaching Experience
Head Coach Positions - At least 5 years of successful coaching experience in the sport required.
Assistant Coach Positions - Successful coaching experience preferred.
Employment in District
Full-time teaching assignment in Middletown Township Public Schools preferred.
Sports Management
Ability to proactively manage student academic and behavioral support, scheduling, budgeting, equipment and materials.
Sports Knowledge
Proficiency in the technical aspects of the sport being coached, including the latest training and conditioning techniques to ensure the safety of the student athlete.
Post-Secondary Sports Knowledge
Firm understanding of the process of preparing high school student athletes for college level competition
Ability to assist in college searches and provide recommendations for the qualified student athletes
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
