Pro Resources is seeking a Coating and Fabrication Technician for a client in Argos, IN. The Coatings and Fabrication Technician is primarily responsible for the surface preparation and application of protective coatings to sanitation trailers and units. Your primary focus is ensuring finishes that meet standards for durability and aesthetics. Additionally, you will perform metal fabrication tasks, such as welding, cutting, and metal assembly, as a secondary function to support the overall production process. Apply Today!

Job Duties
  • Surface Preparation: Clean, sand, and prepare metal surfaces for coating application, ensuring the removal of all contaminants and imperfections to guarantee optimal adhesion.
  • Coating Application: Apply protective coatings, including primers and topcoats, undercoatings, polyureas, and spray foam using specialized equipment to achieve a high-quality finish.
  • Fabrication :Perform secondary metal fabrication tasks including welding, cutting, and shaping of metal components as needed to support the assembly of structural elements.
  • Quality Control: Inspect fabricated parts for quality, structural integrity, and accuracy. Inspect coated surfaces for thickness, coverage, and defects, ensuring that all finishes meet project specifications.
  • Tool & Equipment Use: Safely operate fabrication tools such as welders,grinders,saws,andothermachineryneededtocompletefabricationtasks.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other teams (e.g., plumbing, electrical, and construction) to ensure that fabricated parts are properly integrated into the final product.
  • Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
Background Profile
  • Coating Expertise: Strong experience in spray foam and other paint applications.
  • Fabrication Expertise: Strong experience in metal fabrication ,including MIG welding, cutting, grinding, and assembling metal components.
  • Blueprint Reading: Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure precise fabrication and integration of components.
  • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for quality, ensuring that all fabricated parts meet exact specifications and are free of defects.
  • Problem-Solving: Skilled in identifying and resolving issues that a rise during the fabrication process to keep production on track.
  • Physical Endurance: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including handling heavy materials and working in a variety of positions.
  • Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with other technicians and departments to meet production timelines and quality standards.
  • Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety standards in fabrication and welding, with a strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
