Surestaff is immediately hiring Coating Machine Operators for a manufacturing facility in Hampshire, IL that produces protective plastic films. This role involves operating automated coating equipment, loading plastic rolls and cardboard cores, monitoring the coating process, and inspecting completed rolls for quality.
Surestaff is invested in their team members! All employees are offered competitive pay at $17.00 per hour, increasing to $19.00 per hour upon permanent hire, as well as access to a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). This is a temp to hire opportunity.
Available shift: Monday through Thursday: 5:00 AM to 5:00 PMFriday: 5:00 AM until production is finished. Friday end times may vary between approximately 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM.All breaks are paid.
Responsibilities of the Coating Machine Operator:• Use a hoist to load plastic rolls onto automated coating machines• Load cardboard cores onto the machines for completed plastic rolls• Monitor the automated coating, drying, and rewinding process• Perform quality inspections to ensure the correct amount of adhesive is applied• Use a safety knife to remove excess plastic from completed rolls• Use a hoist to move completed rolls onto pallets for further processing• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
Required Qualifications of the Coating Machine Operator:• Ability to work 12 hour shifts and remain on your feet throughout the shift• Ability to routinely lift cardboard cores weighing approximately 5 to 20 pounds• Ability to complete a team lift of approximately 40 pounds• Comfortable working around automated manufacturing equipment• Strong attention to detail and quality• Ability to safely use a hoist and safety knife• Willingness to complete company provided forklift training and certification
