    Description

    TITLE: Coating Operator C

    POSITION OBJECTIVE: To efficiently process materials that meet the quality standards and specifications of our customers with maximum safety, productivity, and minimum scrap or defects.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.Oral and written English language literate.Physical requirements: While performing the duties of this job, employee regularly stands and moves around the machine; uses hand and fingers to feel objects, tools, or controls; reaches with hands and arms above the shoulder and below the waist; stoops, kneels or crouches; occasionally lifts up to 70 pounds 48 inches high.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Work directly with other STA employees to maintain a safe, professional, confidential and productive operation.Follow established methods and procedures to assist the coater operator maximize material production and to enhance productivity and minimize scrap and coater defects.Follow production schedule assigned.Assure proper materials and adhesive are being used.Check machine settings and oven temperatures.Assign personnel tasks and check all stations for correct operation.Perform final set-up inspection prior to production run.Troubleshoot and correct problems.Chiller operation.Anilox roll inspection, cleaning and storage, using correct labels.Flag defective areas of jumbo rolls during processing as required.Efficiently use all material during manufacture, (i.e.: raw materials, adhesives, cores, release agents).Maintain accurate daily notes and other necessary paperwork and data entry as required by company policy.Accurately identify all manufactured rolls produced on the coaters with correct labels.Train coater personnel in station operations.Safe lift truck operation and inspection.Notify the shift supervisor or maintenance manager of all needed machine repair and complete maintenance requests as necessary.Keep department and equipment clean with general housekeeping duties that maintain a safe and clean work environment.Follow all safety rules (wearing proper hearing, foot, eye, and hand protection) and follow company policy conduct rules at all times.Perform any other additional duties assigned or as required to maintain a smooth-running operation.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:

    Work is performed in a manufacturing environment. Employee may work at different workstations or machines as production needs require. The noise level is loud and the temperature is often hot.
